Kingdoms of the Realms

While many of the mysteries and secrets of each kingdom take a great deal of effort to discover, there is basic knowledge of the significant locations around the world…

 

The Great Rainforest

The mysterious and nefarious home to the Shapeshifters, this land is an impossibility existing where it should not.  They are often associated with the Fae, and are believed to sustain themselves with magic.  Immortal beings, very little is known of them.  Their only known enemies are the Dopplegangers, nefarious creatures spawned from the plane of Negative Energy.  They protect themselves.  They have no allies.

 

Traste

The capitol city is Shi’dar, ruled by Emperor Arenar and Empress Torkeen.  His advisors are the legendary Court Wizard Lord Aseckleam, Jo a risen demon sorcerer rumored to have strange reality warping abilities, and Ss’rah the Last of Lizam.  His Champion is Duke Krash, the Giant Kin warrior.  New Zorneaf was annexed by Traste from the Kingdom of Zorneaf, given to the Orc King by Traste, and then taken back by force.  It has been since renamed Vanders, and under the powerful family’s control.  The plains of Traste are now inhabited communally by both humans and the collective Centaur Tribes.  The Dark Forest, called the Forest of Magic by some, is home to the Slayers, the Towers of Magic, The One Tree, and other darker forces.  Traste is protected by the legendary Blackguard, the Centaur Nation, and Traste’s armies.  Traste is allied with Insea and Triel.

 

Triel

The kingdom, the capitol, their divine ruler, and the race all share the same name.  A new race of elves with ebony black skin, alabaster white hair, and white feathered wings inhabit two known sky cities, though the location of both is a mystery.  Little is known of the Empress’s personal advisors or their state of affairs, except they hold an alliance with every major elven kingdom, the Dragon Ilses, Insea, and Traste. 

 

Saral Desert

Home to the Sarens, a once nomadic people who never left their desert, no one enters without their permission.  Unified now by a new unknown leader they have begun selling their mushrooms on the market for 250,000 to 500,000 gold pieces worth of Mage Crystals each.  They are the most feared mortal warriors in the Realms.  The desert is not natural and believed to be the result of some great war from millenia ago.  The Saral Desert is protected by the Saren Nation.  They have no allies.

 

Pass

Ruled by Emperor Verrik Witfur, the borders have been closed off and the Soul Guard are under his command.  Married to a woman known only as the Empress, she is rumored to be the most beautiful woman in existence.  He was once a member of the legendary Dragon Slayers and once ally to Traste.  It was rumored that he was dead, but the strange reality warping events seem to have proven such as false as he and the Soul Guard protected the capitol Pass from such events.  Pass is protected by Pass and the Soul Guard.  Pass is allied with Chargrin.

 

Chargrin

Chargrin has been stabilizing their lands for the past 100 years.  A serious blow was dealt when the king had to release a large portion of his lands to the sylvan elves in a near war with the elven kingdoms, but the kingdom is mostly recovered now.  Chargin is believed to be the greatest general in existence, and his line is famous for holding one of the 8 legendary blades of power, The Sword of Chargrin.  Chargrin is protected by the armies of Chargrin and the fabled Sky Fleet.  Chargrin is allied with Pass.

 

Dragon Isles

The open island Draconis now trades with all of the world bartering in goods found nowhere else in existence.  The Dragons welcome all, but punish law breaking with absolute authority.  Dragon Isles is protected by the dragons, the Death Watch, and the Draconian Armies.  Dragon Isles is allied with Triel.

 

Traivon

Lost since the Great Walls have been reactivated, no one has managed to get any real information in or out.  Part of the Insea Empire, it’s protectors are unknown.

 

Insea

With the great fleets of ancient times past having been risen from their watery graves, Insea now possesses the most powerful navy ever seen.  A true power like never before, they control the seas and oceans more surely than any other force in the Realms.  They also have begun serious trade with a lost continent known only as Esteria.  Ruled by the ressurrected King Mithra Swordwraith, his advisors are the Council of Magery.  Insea is allied with Traste and is protected by Insea and the Risen Fleet.

 

Valley of the North Winds

Ruled now by King Valence Stormbringer, the nomadic peoples have been united and wield the feared Griffon Wings.  Rumored powers of controlling storms abound about this kingdom, but it’s borders are closed to all and they have no allies.  It is protected by strange storms, the Griffon Wings, and the Army of the Winds.
