Heya guys!!  Remember a while back I did a post on: Want to up your game? Want to play better?  Well an old old friend of mine is in town.  I was the person who originally convinced him to get one of these Nostromo N52 keypads.  When a bunch of my real life friends started playing WoW, I dropped about 25,000 gold on them all.  The fact is I can make a ridiculous sum of gold in game.  I know the market, I understand the player base, and I can own the AH when I choose to spend the time on my Jewel Crafting.

Basically bags, tons of gold, twink blues and epics, plus some greens, etc…  And I’ve never regretted sending out all of that gold even though only one of them still plays consistently, and one more plays rarely.  Why?  Because they are my friends and they got enjoyment out of it. 

But like I always say, good deeds bring good things back for everyone.  My buddy here did something super sweet (the one in town that I convinced to get an original N52).  He sent me and my best friend/roomie Garroc 2 N52TE gamepads a while back, and they are ROCKIN’!!!!  OMFG I don’t think I could play WoW without one now.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!  He said it was in thanks for everything I did for everyone.  Helping them all with specs, choosing classes, how to gear out, the gold, etc…  So basically, I got free electronics for talking about what I enjoy with my friends and helping them.  Can life get any better!?!?!  /WIN 

If you do not have one I highly recommend going and getting one.  The link is up top for info about them.  But like I said before…he’s in town.  So I’m off like a prom dress!!  I’ll hopefully have some time later to get some posts up, but it will likely be later on.  But hey, this is 4 posts today already.    And I even made it relevant by telling new people about the N52!!

Heya guys!!  So the Horde Call is summoning me.  Keep thinking about it, and I finally did some research on it.  Now I’m not 100% decided yet, but we’ll see how it goes.

I am however set in stone on the character.  Blood Elf Death Knight.  Now, don’t expect records out of me here.  I did my power leveling gig on SJ already, I work, I still raid and pvp, I have a social life, etc…  And SJ will remain my “main” toon.  So the alt will probably take quite some time to level.

But speaking of leveling, I will most likely create and start my Horde DK on Bronzebeard.  I’ve got about 4k gold rotting over there atm and wouldn’t mind giving it to myself to use.    Also I can start playing it now, and even use the neutral AH to help transfer bags, loot, etc.  On top of that, with Horde being so underpopulated here I’d have free reign pretty much.  I just have to double check on server transfer status for the servers I like.

Currently I am looking at 2 primary choices for a server:

1. Kil’jaeden (PvE):  WoW Jutsu - Warcraft Realms
2. Maelstrom (RP-PvP):  WoW Jutsu - Warcraft Realms 

Even though I don’t have a 55+ Horde toon, it’s no problem.  I will make the DK on my server on my second account.  Then later on, I will transfer that character to the other server.  So the Horde/Alliance issue on a PvP server is not a problem.

But by no means is this a final list.  Basically what I am looking for on a server is a strong presence of players, both in population and in raid activity.  Which both of these have.  If you come across another Horde server with comprable population and at least 5+ Horde guilds who have cleared Naxx/Sarth/Maly 25, then give me a shout out!!

Heya guys!!  So how many of you have spent any time with your old mains?  Is it sitting there collecting dust and cobwebs while you play with your bright new and shiny Death Knight?  Or did you already bust it out, cherishing it like an old companion not seen in some time?  /sniffle

Don’t get sappy on me here damnit!!  You’re a DEATH KNIGHT!!!!  Sheesh…

So I went and busted out good ol’ Bigeasy tonight.  Why?  Well the main reason is she’s an Inscriptor and I want the new trinket coming out.  Darkmoon Card: Greatness is a new trinket that you have to get from the Darkmoon Faire (which is about to start).  Now don’t get all weird on me, it’s not really an Agility trinket.  You can turn in the deck for one of four Greatness cards.  One of which is +90 Strength.  Which for us is more like 220 Attack Power almost.  Not even counting the proc.  Yes I know…it’s almost as hot as I am.  *wink*

Anyways, you get the cards from an Inscription recipie Darkmoon Card of the North.  And since Bigeasy is an inscriptor…I thought why not look at leveling it up.  Then I got on her…and I forgot she was a mess.  After the 3.0 patch I only really upkept her Elemental gear (for raiding) and her Enhance PvP gear (for well…PvP).  But for those of you who don’t know anything about Shaman…well they were a MESS after 3.0 hit.

Enhancement took the biggest hit (well buff, but complete mechanics change – aka itemization preferences are totally whacked) and needed the most changing.  If you clicked on my name up there to see the Armory of Bigeasy you might have noticed that a lot of pieces of gear she has on as Enhancement (melee) spec are spell caster items.  Some of them Sunwell pieces.  Why?  Because stats like Int give us more EAP now than stats like Strength, and we do so much spell damage now as Enhancement that Spell Power is a solid stat.  Weird right?  Unlike Death Knights who focus totally on Attack Power, Enhancement Shaman are forced to go after AP, Int, Agi, Str, Spell Power, etc….

It’s interesting to note because DK’s are often compared to Enhancement Shaman if you were not aware.  From a raid perspective they bring a lot of the same required buffs to the table.

• Improved Windfury Totem / Windfury Totem vs Improved Icy Talons
• Unleashed Rage vs Abomination’s Might
• Strength of Earth Totem vs Horn of Winter

A lot of these buffs are considered to be mandatory for a raid and both classes offer them.  They are both melee classes that use spells.  They both have very unique spells/abilities that seperate them from the other classes.  And they’re both considered newer classes to WoW.  While Shaman have been around from the start, Alliance is a greater percentage population of the WoW player base who did not get access to Shaman until the Burning Crusade was released.  Because of all of these things, Enhancement Shaman and Death Knights get compared frequently.

So what happened?

Basically…I had a full set of gear for Resto (for doing the Twins in Sunwell), a full set of gear for Enhance (for doing Muru in Sunwell), a full set of gear for Elemental (for primary raiding),  a full set of S3 Elemental PvP gear (for my disasterous attempt at Ele in Arena for 2v2/3v3 - Ele was only viable in 5v5), and then a full set of gear for Enhance (for PvP in S4 Arena).  Then there is all the Inscription mats as I was one of the first ones on my server.  Long story short, I got too much !@#$ in my bags!!!

2 hours later I’ve deleted/sold off over 50 epics T6.5 equivalent.  Basically, if I couldn’t see myself using it to level up to 80, I got rid of it.  I did save my Sunwell T6.5 Elemental set…because it’s hot and I’m sentimental about it.  But otherwise if it wasn’t equipped, or somehow useful for starting up PvP at 80, it went!!!

I realized a few things.  I need a cook in LK (which Bigeasy is 10 points from cap in BC), I need a farmer toon (which SJ is going to have 2 primary tradeskills – no gathering), and I really really really love playing my shaman.  So 2 hours tonight went into prepping the character, fixing gear, mailing crap around, getting bag space, getting a leveling spec with glyphs, you name it…

And now Bigeasy is ready to go to Northrend and make something of herself!!!

Will I be full time leveling her now?  Not likely as I still need to work on this site here, get some PvP in on SJ, and research Tank/PvP aspects of DK’s more.  But I’m definetly going to be spending some time on Bigeasy for now on.  Especially because of…ZOMG RESTED EXP’S IN NORTHREND!!!!!!!

Holy crap, if leveling was easy before…rested exp’s?!!?! ZOMG /signmeup

What about you guys?  Will you be leveling up your old mains…er uhm…alts??  What plans do you guys have for them?  Have you even given it some thought, or logged in that character to actually look at it’s stuff?

And more importantly, so long as it doesn’t detract from the focus of this website (Death Knights), do you guys have any interest in hearing about my exploits as Bigeasy, or learning anything about Shaman?  FYI, I don’t do Resto.  I did it for one encounter in all of WoW.  I HATES HEALING.  End of Story.  So it’d be all about Elemental and Enhancement if it were.

I may tell you guys about Big some anyways, whether you like it or not…   But I’m curious to know what you think.

Maxyalmighty wins the A$$HAT award.  That’s right I cursed.  I try not to on my site, but this dude pissed me the F off.  So I’m doing my Sons of Hodir daily quests and it’s over camped.  Shocker.

But I’m running around face pulling 2-3 mobs at a time, trying to stay out of other people’s way.  When Maxyalmighty runs up and tags a mob that I’m kiting (face pulled, no dmg done) and kills it.

Now I whisper him and just say, “I know I may not have done damage to that one but I was obviously pulling it, that was rude.”  A very terse conversation lead to his final response of, “qq some more”

THANK YOU MAXYALMIGHTY!!  For giving Death Knights a bad name everywhere, and for giving me the opportunity to see how you’re doing so well to help players embrace our class.

Heya guys!!  Short and sweet, SK (my guild) went after Malygos 25man last night (EoE) and defeated him.  GRATS GUYS!!!

Second server kill.  First went out to Horizon.  I missed it myself, however that now means that 2 guilds on my server have defeated all raid content in LK!!!  HURRAYY!!!!  Hey…wtf?!?!  Wait a minute…this sucks!!!

/sigh

Anyways, so /farm mode on, and time to start focusing on making some gold, farming rep, and getting in some PvP time finally.  /pray the content patches are more challenging.

Heya guys!!  Short and sweet today.  I’m going to Naxxramas 10 tonight!!  Did some more heroics.  Tanked them all as an Unholy Hybrid DPS/Tank build.  It worked out pretty well.  In fact some of our CD’s like Icebound Fort, AMS, and Army of the Dead made certain encounters rather easy.  Hard part was learning boss abilities in instances we had never even set foot in before, lol.

But, I spent all morning leveling up my JC skill, which is at 429 now, which is all I needs!!  Don’t care about capping it, that will happen eventually.  I’ve got some recipies from heroics now, and I’ve learned all I can from the trainer.  We’re set to go now.  Just gotta wait on the damn daily quests…  /sigh

I’m putting together the last of my mats for enchanting out my gear right now.  I already crafted 2 dps trinkets up, regemmed my gear, and got a few upgrades.  Inlcluding my very own Spiked Titansteel Helm!!!  Hoozah!!!  Cost me 1k gold total, not including the helm enchant/metagem.  I get these mats together for the enchants, and I can go to bed.

So, this evening I hit Naxx10 as Unholy DPS.  I’m gonna get some Recount pics up (hopefully I don’t suck), and see if someone has WWS running.  I, sadly, have never taken the time to get it running yet.  And need too… >.<
