How to make gold in WoW!?

Posted by: Skeleton Jack   in Mods

Heya guys!!

Sooo…  I used to be loaded in game.  Absolutely butt tons of gold.  But I did something with a large portion of it that I’m not free to admit to here in the public eye.  And then on top of that, I had to make that payout for the winner of the donations to Eleanor (lil girl with cancer, the daughter of an in game friend of mine).  Plus, when I quit I sent off all of my stuff to my friends.

So now I’m poor.  :(   I’ve been trying to find new ways of making income.  The gem market, where I’ve always traditionally made my income for the past 3 years is…different now.  Ore prices are so high that buying ore to prospect is no longer efficient with the advent of epic gems.  So that means farming.  I hate farming.  *REALLY* hate farming…

But, I did just so happen to come across a great lil video for helping you efficiently farm to your heart’s content.  So I’m sharing it with you guys.  I got it from: http://www.makewowgold.com/

I was pretty impressed by how well this video lays out how to use these addons.  If you farm, this is a good way to go.

And for everyone else, if you’ve got ways to make gold without “farming” herbs/ore/leather gimme a shout.  I’m curious.  My old methods are failing me now, and I fully plan to get back to over 100k gold again.

My income consists of two things. Transmution mastery and jewelcrafting. Buying out mats for meta and epic gems and transmuting them for your JC to cut is really a big income. If you don’t need the epic gems for yourself that is, in that case just the meta gem transmutions will earn you a solid profit. Selling Dragon’s Eyes still brings in a couple of g’s too.

My suggestion is to learn from the best, Gevlon the Greedy Goblin.

You should also try checking his affiliated blogs as they’re all related to wow economy.

Greedy Goblin

That will take you to the categories section where you can find TONS of information on his glyph practices and various other profession projects he has done.

If you dont feel like dealing with his harsh outlook on life or digging through his philosophical diatribe check out:

I personally don’t care for Marcko but the forums there contain a huge amount of information and tips for every profession.

As a word of advice do look into Gevlons deep undercutting strategies at the greedy goblin.

Good luck on your climb back to the lifestyles of the Rich and Famous :D

The easiest and most reliable method I have found is making use of cooldowns.

I have a max level Alch and JC. Every day I transmute a cardianl ruby with mats from the AH, making about 75g on the sale.

I also run the JC daily, but a dragons eye, and get another east 100g or so from it.

!5 minutes work a day for 1200g a week paycheck is not bad at all.

If you do the icecrown and tournament dailies, you can cap out at 25 within less than an hour and pull in well over 400g a day – clear bosses in ZG for another 200g or so and you can skip alot of the trash – solo’ing level 70 instances can give you an inventory of stuff to sell along with cash from the bosses – can also be pretty profitable — i know these might not be the BEST or Fastest, but atleast they can break up the repetition of farming…. – by doing just about 15-20 dailies a day (in less than 20-30 mins) i tend to still be able to buy stacks of fish feasts, endless rage, repairs, gems and enchants, and still go up in cash on a day to day basis….. course ive never gotten to the 100k range… would sure be nice to have 100k now, buyout all those primordial’s to get your sick legendary on its way :P

I do this when i get really poor aiight so
Start out with like 1kg+ Then make an ad on Trade like this “SJ’s Material Service buying all Mats (Cloth, Ore, Ect)” look at wht the ppl are selling and look at the AH. Look at the price of the cheapest one and say you’ll buy it for 50% of that price…then sell it for that price this requires unexpected people who dont look at the AH prices. Sure it doesn’t work for everybody but when it does after you sell alot of stuff you come out with like 5k or 6k. Last month when i did this i started out with 500g and after 3 hours i was back up to 3k

SJ.

You are already a JC yes?

You have some starter cash yes? (I hope)

I have made about 10k since the patch hit by doing the following, and you could to.

Spam in trade to buy uncut gems in bulk and advertise your jewelcrafting at the same time. People will want to cash in spare honor and badges. If people can’t find how to transform their triumph badges into conquest direct them to the money changer NPC in the underbelly.

The trick is to get raw gems as cheap as possible. Then just cut the most popular and well priced gems you can and sell on the AH.

I expect that the OMG MUST BUY GEMS NAO rush that came with the 3.3 patch will last for another week or so, so there is probably still time to capitalise on this market if you can get your hands on a stack or two of uncut epic gems.

Let us know how you go!

Doing dailies = 25 a day = 325g/day in about 1 1/2 hours.
Gathering = usually around 400-700g/hr depending on prices and competition

If you are looking to get a large amount (I have 70k at the moment) you should be utilizing a profession and crafting things in high demand.
