My Ony cherry got popped!! O.o

Heya guys!!

So it’s not really my Ony cherry, but it was Skeleton Jack’s first time anyways.  ;)   I remember the original bad a$$ Ony from back in the day after crawling my way through the massive quest chain referred to as Jailbreak for the old timers out there.

My first epic was the Quel’Serrar on Elorien.  Which of course has lead to the more recent versions known as Gleaming Quel’Serrar and Burnished Quel’Serrar.

But I digress…  Here’s good ol’ SJ earning his wings.

I’m not really so sure 6.6K DPS on Ony is all that great for me (I was in a PuG)…  But I’m in outdated gear now, using a sub-optimal spec, and rusty as hell.  So I’m happy with how the run went!

Man, ‘only’ 6.6k. I struggle to push 5k in our guild 25-man runs, and my gearing’s not much worse. I feel inadequate. :(

First thing I noticed was how good your DPS was considering you haven’t played in so long and you’re in Ulduar gear!

U change gear 6,6k dps it`s weak dps on whelps , im doing 9k+, 15/54/2

yeah, onyxia is a fight that’s easy to cheese the numbers on actually. I have mostly ilevel 245s and have the frost greed spec and I can pull about 12k dps if somebody is stupid and brings out an additional wave of whelps

I hate the new unholy spec too, hopefully 3.3 will sort it out again. Nice to see you back in action :-)

Hi SJ,

Just wondering about your glyphs. You are using Glyph of Scourge Strike which Blizz obviously changed so that it no longer causes diseases, it just adds time. According to the math nerds on EJ, they say it’s not worth using and to use Glyph of Icy Touch (currently, generates extra RP – 3.3 will cause FF to do 20% more dmg).

What are your thoughts?
