Startin’ Flame Wars…

Posted by: Skeleton Jack   in Website

Heya guys!!  I had planned on deleting my WoW goes Green post and reposting later, because I’m putting some hardcore work in on the site this weekend.  I plan on putting out between 5-10 MAJOR posts in the next few days.  And I want my WoW goes Green post the be on top.  As I plan to leave it there for a few days as my header.

But that would delete the MULTITUDE of comments, and that’s just not cool.  So it stays for now.  I made a mistake in writing that post while aggravated, so I did not coherently get all of my points across.  Which in the end lead to a good deal of “flamer” replies.  The fact is I know most of my facts, and I can show you guys how Blizzard has dropped the ball.  But I did it in such a way to where it fell flat.

Have no fear, I will repost it better later.  Which is why I’m only approving comments, even inflamatory ones, atm.  And not replying.  It’s not to say I don’t have rebuttles, but to say I need to delay it for something else.

That said, what’s coming?

  • DPS results from SIMS for trees, some explanations.
  • Some amazing mods, and why/how to use them to redefine your gaming experience.
  • Insights in how to bring the most possible dps to the raid environment.
  • Tricks of the trade to improve yourself as a gamer.
  • APE values, linked to lootank for ranking your BISI’s.
  • Pawn values as well for in game measurement.
  • And some of my own personal wisdom.

Why so much in such little time?

I’m revamping the site.  And taking it on as a casual endeavor.  I came back to WoW not because of burnout or lack of it.  I came back not because of a driving need.  I came back to see if it could be done as job, and how it would work out for me…  And now I know the answer.

I needed to answer the same question posed to ever human being in the world.  Why do I want to be doing with my life.  And this website, of all things, has helped me do just that.  Is the website going away, being ignored, or whatever else could be possible?  Nope.  It’s paid up for the next 1 1/2 years and I plan on keeping it.  Just my focus and plans are changing.

More on that later.  But before I become a “casual” blogger, doing it for fun instead of as work.  I plan on giving you guys some of my best knowledge, tricks, and tools.  I’m giving you guys the keys.

New to the site and already, I’m overwhelmed at the amount of useful info you’ve given us! You mentioned in a past post about revamping your leveling builds and giving tips for beginers (i.e. Talent tree explanations, etc.). Is this still something on your plate? Thanks for your hard work!

Hi Jack
Glad you’re back! :) small request, could you include some updated pawn strings for various specs/gearing levels. I can’t find anything useful anywher and i’m not sure how to weight stuff on pawn myself..also any opinion on http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=92919.0 looks like the redoing of onyxia is a trial thing for cataclysm

Hi Jack, you can use the ‘make sticky’ feature within wordpress so that your ‘goes green’ post remains at the top of the site page.
