Ya pet would not be up for 1000 hours as a frost spec anything. hate to point that out.

Azure, when you learn to read, count, and can take the time to assimilate a post, get back to me. Otherwise read your comment, re-read the post, realize how blatantly stupid your comment is, and think on things. (read: frustration with the same questions over and over again when they’ve already been answered, combined with questions only asked because someone didn’t think they needed to really read the entire post)

I’ve got EP sims running on all 3 specs atm. Will have info coming out for the next week on this kind of information. Please take the time to actually read all of the information provided. Notice under % the Ghoul contributed all of 1% of the total dps, while OB was 29% and FS was 21%.

I was wondering why the Spec (Template) was labeled 00-51-17. Is this a display error, or were 3 points missing from Subversion?

Also, it seems like even with DW’s superior white dmg, Necrosis and BCB seem to be sub-par when looking at the dps for the amount of points invested.

I’m probably just doing the math wrong though XD. Eitherhoo, thank you very much for the data, and I look forward to see how DW Unholy works out with full T9. *Drool @ Critting Diseases*

Your fan, Caedos.

Oh, and if you could, I’d love to know the stats you imputed for the testing. I assume T9 means better, but more along the lines of AP, Crit, Hit, Expertise, and any set/racial bonuses if at all.

I noticed some of the values added up to 99%, once again, unsure if this is a display error or if some things are getting dodged and are just unlisted.

Also, that comment about BCB and Necrosis were in the thought that perhaps Bladed Armor and Conviction might better support the spec. I know I inquired about this before, but it seems to be an idea that is shunned, though I’ve not seen any data to support or disprove it’s value.

It is 3/51/17, I just edited another template into what I wanted and did not properly rename it is all.

Stats are coming later. T9 means Ulduar level stats.

Bladed Armor scales horribly, it’s just not good. Armor increases per tier are minimal at best. As to crit, once itemization and raid buffs kick in, you get less and less from crit. Go read my Category page for “Things you didn’t know about WoW.” It’s got a crit post in there.

A little over the top there SJ. I simply pointed out that your pet would not be up for 100% of the run. Id be surprised if it was out half that in a real dps scenario. As you said it is only 1% of your dmg for what % of the RP you have available? Is that really an effective use of RP? Id love to see the difference without a pet at all.

As for your response. I reread then rereread the post and there is nothing in it about the pet, frequency of cast impact on RP etc. Could you point that part your referring to out.

I really respect what you write here and use it almost as a bible but hey calm down. I didn’t see that question in relation to the simulator anywhere else.

PS not interested in a flame war here just looking for info.

PPS sorry if i offended you it was not the intent.

Already stated the answer in the comment, but you didn’t take the time to read it, it seems: “Notice under % the Ghoul contributed all of 1% of the total dps, while OB was 29% and FS was 21%.”

To maybe spell it out, if you multiply the avg dmg by the landed value, you will get the total value. The % indicates the % of the total. It’s all in columns.

rotations are imposable for this because my second BS only procs a death rune sometimes. I guess its a bug because it enters its 10 sec cool down and stays a blood rune. Also I noticed this happening much more in unholy presence (I use it when the latency is bad) than I did in blood presence. And all four bs hits are accounted for landing in the combat log. this happens 30% of the time in blood and 90% of the time in unholy, any clues?

To Baldman:
Latency could be a factor as to the issue you are having where as the client states yes but the server says no. I see only two DK’s that use the name Baldman on the Armory…if you are one of these neither one of ya are hit/expertise capped on the current data pull. That mixed in with high latency could explain what you see during combat.

All the info I see for dw frost is the frost/unholy spec. Thing is in all raids/dummy whacking i have come out with at least 4-600 more dps with 15/54/2. Run this spec through sim see what ya get, I swear it tears shit up!

For AOE rotations I’d advise using a very slightly modified version of the Disease Glyph rotation, sub BB, initial HB, and whore out Rime procs in appropriate GCD slots.

IT – PS – Pest – BB – HB – FS – FS
OB – BB – BB – OB – HoW – FS

A Rime HB will be right at home in place of a FS slot. Beyond this startup focus on KM/Rime procs (imo also just whore out Rime HB’s) -> keep up diseases -> BB.

Remember to keep diseases up for BB effectiveness. For AOE situations this will take a backseat to KM/Rime HB’s.

Despite the fact that Bladed Armor truly doesn’t scale well, I would like to see a devoted number-cruncher come up with a quantitative comparison between a 10/51/10 Bladed Armor spec as opposed to the 3/51/17 IIT spec with 5/5 Necrosis and 2/3 Caked Blade.

After going over several dmg readouts I just can’t support the overall effectiveness of Necrosis and Blood-Caked Blades with how many points they cost.

At T8.5 itemization Bladed Armor essentially grants an approximate 400atkpwr constant bonus.

Is this impact on DK coefficients and base DPS really negligible in comparison to the dmg dealt by Necrosis and Blood-Caked Blade?

ok so i was talking with another DK about DW spec… here is what we came up with

trading base dmg for crit dmg

http://www.wowarmory.com/talent-calc.xml?cid=6&tal=2305000500000000000000000000320053503520030023000331013510300000000000000000000000000000

single disease rotation

HB BS BS OB FS etc spamming OB…using blood tap to rotate in unbreakable armor…

HB glyph, FS glyph, OB glyph

use HB to refresh FF

cuts off time of use for PS/Pest
only use Pest for AoE packs

seeing a significant jump in dps from the DW dks on this… try it out

How does imp frost pressence increase DPS ? yoiu say its the best dps spec , even those 2 in icy talons would increase dps . not like you are in frost pressence when dpsing anyway
