Heya guys!!  I’ve mentioned before a few times how BRK got me into Blogs, but since that time we’ve gotten a lot of new readers who may have missed it.  So, here’s to BRK.  Cheers mate!

Over a year ago I finally got one of my best friends to start playing WoW.  Basically he and one of my other friends always played the same games together whenever possible.  But he was so burnt out from being a hardcore raider in EverQuest that he just wouldn’t come over to WoW.  His in game name is Mythra.  Well, our other friend started playing on another server and I did the SJ thing to do.  I bribed him with tons of gold to come to my server!!

So once he was there, getting Mythra into WoW was easy as pie.  After a lot of discussion about the game he settled on a hunter and began learning about his class.  This effort eventually lead Mythra to BRK.  For months he told me that I had to go read this site, but I was going to be damned if I was going to go read “some stupid moronic BLOG about WoW”.  Heh.  But eventually I did.  And I was hooked.

From this encounter I got into reading BRK, Out of Mana, and Critical QQ frequently.  And enjoying them greatly, even though I played an Elemental Shaman for raids and re-speced to Enhancement for PvP.  And after months and months of reading these guys, I got hooked on blogs in general.  Which lead me to create my site here.  I’ve always been a writer, and the idea of actually writing about something I loved really appealed to me.

As of late however I’ve stopped reading a lot of blogs.  Not as much because I am above that, but because I don’t want to steal other people’s concepts or ideas.  As it was, BRK did a ton of things that I wanted to do.  But I’ve not done them for fear of feeling like a rip of artist.  And that lead to a very sad thing really.  I’ve missed a lot of what has been going on over at BRK and had to have Mythra tell me one night that BRK was quitting while we were all hanging out with the guys.

So yes, it’s official.  BRK has quit.  His last post is up, a montage farewell video was created by his fans, he quit the game, and there is no more…

I just wanted to say Goodbye BRK.  I’ve enjoyed your writing.  I’ve enjoyed your site.  I’ve enjoyed everything you brought to the community.  You will be missed.
