NotD helps because most fights do AoE damage and kill your ghoul. In a 25 man raid a ghoul will do 500-600 dps, so you want to resummon him right away. I do so sometimes 4-5 times in one fight. Also in 3.0.8 it will give him 70% avoidance to AoE dmg.

I have this q, sometimes i´am afraid of using AoD, because i saw what it does on Cyangosa or w/e is here name, last boss in VH, basically she is turning like crazy to every side to hit those ghoulis:) so what if same happens on let´s say Saphiron or other “must tank facing to wall boss”, ya know;)

I think I can answer this one. If you put points in NotD, it lowers your cooldown on Army of the Dead, allowing you to use it on almost every boss pull! I can’t remember if it’s 6 or 8 ghouls you raise, but they last for 40 sec, and they add a ton of dps. Very useful on bosses, especially Loatheb and Patchwerk since there’s no AOE to kill them. They add a good 1000-1500 DPS while they’re up (at least for me in 10 man raiding).

i have been following your spec and trying it out but as a lvl 78 are the 2 points in Night of the dead more of a raiding thing? i was reading EJ yesterday and he has those 2 points in desecration, i did read the above post about desecration. please xplain how night of the dead adds to DPS?
