Heya guys!!  It’s time to drool…heh.  So, here’s the deal on what is going on.  Once I start these up, I plan on doing them all and finishing it within 1-2 weeks.  In addition to that, I plan on doing some site maintenance.  I will be creating a new page on the site (next to the “About” page) which will be an all inclusive page dedicated to the Best in Slot Items for Death Knights.  So you will never have to do painstaking research to find those posts later, or bookmark all of them, etc…

I’m also trying to do this right this time.  Yes, the first 2 were wrong.  Not in that the information was bad.  It was the most accurate info available at the time.  But if you’re gonna do a job, might as well do it right?  Ya know?  So I’m pulling out the stops and not being lazy.  I will be including best in slot items in 6 different categories for each spec.

• Top 10 BISI Overall
• Top 5 BISI w/o Expertise
• Top 5 BISI w/o Hit
• Top 5 BISI w/o Expertise or Hit
• Top 5 BISI Hit Capped, but not Spell Hit Capped with Expertise
• Top 5 BISI Hit Capped, but not Spell Hit Capped w/o Expertise

And I need to do this for each Spec as well.  On top of that, I need to determine how I wish to weight stats for Unholy considering the ghoul.  Lastly, I intend to try to figure out the optimization for the Ultimate gear selection for Unholy.  Now considering that I know the most about Unholy I will attempt this.  However when the “ideal” Ultimate gear selection comes to Blood/Frost, you will probably have to wait a bit for that one.  But you will still have all of the BISI rankings done for you 100%.

I never noted the AP bonus weights for stats before properly for Agi, and did not even include bonuses from things like Bladed Armor.  This time, everything will be included.  Also, example specs of the best Blood/Frost/Unholy available for Raid PvE dps will be listed with these as well.  So one can understand how the items may mesh with certain talents.

Lastly, I’ve had concerns about changes coming in from the PTR skewing results.  So I have pushed this back with that in mind.  However as the testing on PTR continues, it appears to be more and more stable as far as my expecations about the incoming changes.

Now for those who are concerned about this…

That is most decidedly untrue.  I know for a fact that just about anyone who wanted to do Kharazan in BC could.  And Naxx10 is WAY easier.  But, I will have other various tools available for you guys as well.  I will have updated PAWN scales and a retouched up post on how to use the PAWN mod for in game gear comparison.  In addition to that I will retouch upon the RAWR model, which is basically a form of a simulator that will help you select your biggest dps gear upgrades based off of your current gear.

So trust me, I’ve got ya’lls back!!  You’ll have an on site page listing the BISI items.  You’ll have instructions on setting up an in game mod to compare items.  And you’ll have a computer program to help you best select your gear upgrades.

I got a really awesome book for Christmas that I’ve been wanting for some time.  I plan on spending at least several hours reading it.  Then I need to be catching up on forum posts.  I need to go double back on my Blood/Frost research to make sure I don’t find contradictory information to what I have for them.  And at some point I want to put a level on to Bigeasy, my shaman.  She’s still level 70…  /sadface    WTB lvl. 80 kkthxbai!!

Sunday is HELL DAY!!!  They are back in with the holidays being over.  Sunday starts up at 10am and doesn’t stop for me until about 2-3am.  So expect a post tops that day.  And I do plan on spending a fair bit of Saturday doing backup research, reading, and generally relaxing.  So, if all goes well I’d say it’d be a fair expectation to see BISI posts starting up on Tuesday ish??  Should be enough time to double back on the research I need to do.

To keep you guys entertained I will likely do premptory re-post on RAWR and PAWN to get you prepared on what to see there before BISI’s are released.  And then I also need to look into some PvP stuff too.  I do my 5v5 on Saturday!!  /excited  So you’ll be hearing about that as well.  /PIMP

And as far as what happens after all of this?  I will likely go back and do a finalization on PvE Raid specs, rotations, and glyphs.  And THEN…finally…work my way back to TANK DK’s.
