Heya guys!!  Did I say something and it made Blizzard change anything.  NO!!!  Wanted to make that clear up front.  If you read my post: Blizzard is now sticking it to your wallets Death Knights…, did you also read the comments?  Well basically I said that the new DK model changes being availble on PTR was not an advertisement promoting currently existing ones.  And that them pushing through new ones that were previously unavailble this early into the x-pac was a BS move.

Blue Post:

Death Knights have access to unique death-knight only facial textures and skin tones. These can be selected at the character creation screen.

Is it possible it was a screw up on the technical side where a patch note from Beta carried over?  Honestly that is the most likely answer as Blue posts more than once referenced at how many different Beta versions were floating around that they never knew what the players were actually seeing on Beta half the time.  As many as 5+ versions were being dealt with at a time on the Devs side of things.

But the end result?  /bad /sadface

Realistically new skins would have been cool for us as a whole.  While the appearance was exploitive in nature (of our wallets), it still would have been a welcome addition (my original outrage aside).

Otherwise, it’s still making me lol when I read the post.  Ever feel like Blizz’s right hand isn’t talking to it’s left hand?  Yet one more humorous example, rofl.

EDIT:

This line has been removed from the patch notes. This should be reflected on our website soon. There are no new physical features being added for death knights in 3.0.8.

There never were any new skins beyond those that have already been added. This line in the notes originally referred to somewhat of a fix to the way the interface works when selecting one of the unique death knight faces. It sometimes acts a bit oddly when choosing a skin tone, unlike the standard faces for each race. A proper resolution has not yet been determined yet though, so this line is being pulled from the patch notes.

I did some poking around after I read that post, catching up on my Blues as it were and found this.  Here is the real dealio.
